Innodata Isogen Expands Consulting And IT Services Capabilities In The Media, Information Services And Publishing Sector

NEW YORK – April 16, 2009 – INNODATA ISOGEN, INC. (NASDAQ: INOD), a leading provider of knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) services, as well as publishing and related information technology (IT) services, today announced the expansion of its consulting and technology outsourcing capabilities, as the company added several senior business process consultants and IT services executives.

The growth of Innodata Isogen’s capabilities in strategic services underscores increased demand from the company’s clients in the media, information services and publishing domain for strategic business and technology services, including: business process transformation, technology architecture and systems integration, value enhancement and content supply chain re-engineering, as well as a range of outsourced technology services.

Among a number of recent additions to Innodata Isogen are Stephen Ryden-Lloyd, Michael Abell and Stephen Casbeer, each a veteran business and technology strategist with a distinguished record of leadership at industry bellwethers such as Thomson Reuters, Pearson and Reed Elsevier.

Ryden-Lloyd is a senior business and technology strategist with more than two decades of experience helping media, information services and publishing companies improve profitability and achieve sustainable competitive advantage. As a senior vice president at Innodata Isogen, he will head the company’s consulting practice, spearheading efforts to further develop and promote its capabilities, and grow its revenue base.

Abell, a technology services specialist with more than a decade of experience serving media, information services and publishing companies, is charged with growing Innodata Isogen’s IT services. In addition to extensive IT outsourcing experience, he brings skills in new business development, global account management and project delivery to his leadership role as senior vice president.

Ryden-Lloyd and Abell co-founded The Publishing Practice, a business process transformation and IT consulting firm, where they served clients such as Blackwell, Thomson, Informa, Harcourt, the Financial Times and Reed Elsevier. Prior to launching the firm, Ryden-Lloyd served as director of content management at Pearson PLC’s Penguin Group as well as on the executive board of Penguin’s Digital Media Division. Abell, also an industry veteran, led systems architecture and digital production teams at Thomson Reuters.

Casbeer is a senior business transformation and technology advisor with particular depth in organizational design, business and work process re-engineering and in a range of content technologies, including editorial, production and publishing systems. He joins Innodata Isogen as a vice president and will play a central role in key client-facing initiatives and consulting engagements. Previously, Casbeer served as senior director of product technology at Reed Elsevier and in a number of key positions at LexisNexis, including senior director of content creation, senior director of editorial publishing systems, senior director of systems strategy and senior director of editorial applications.

“It’s an exciting time to join Innodata Isogen,” said Ryden-Lloyd, senior vice president at Innodata Isogen. “Companies in the sector are confronting the need for new business and operating strategies and they’re looking for partners with deeper, more integrated capabilities across the publishing and information value chain.”

According to Jack Abuhoff, chairman and CEO of Innodata Isogen, the expanding consulting practice is essentially a manifestation of the company’s strong client focus.

“As our clients become increasingly committed to reducing costs and competing more effectively, we’re finding more opportunities to work with them in progressively closer relationships,” Abuhoff said. “To support these opportunities, we’re strengthening and expanding our client-facing teams. The hires we’re announcing highlight both our commitment to our clients and our confidence in our ability to grow with them.”
